About the position We are seeking an experienced EVSE Course Instructor to provide classroom and hands-on training for students preparing for careers in electric vehicle charging infrastructure and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have professional experience in EVSE, electrical, automotive electrical, or a related technical field, along with the ability to effectively train and mentor students entering the growing electric vehicle industry.

Hours:
Monday to Thursday, 9am - 3pm with 1 hour lunch break Responsibilities Deliver classroom and hands-on instruction for EVSE technician training courses. Teach students about electric vehicle charging systems, equipment operation, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Provide instruction on electrical fundamentals, safety procedures, EVSE components, and charging infrastructure. Demonstrate proper use of tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic methods related to EV charging systems. Prepare students for industry-recognized EVSE certifications and employment opportunities. Develop and deliver lesson plans, presentations, demonstrations, and practical lab activities. Assess student progress through written assessments, practical exercises, and skills demonstrations. Maintain a safe, organized, and professional classroom and lab environment. Stay updated on EV technology advancements, charging standards, and industry practices. Provide guidance and support to students throughout the training program. Qualifications Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in EVSE, electrical, automotive electrical field experience
SAE EVSE
Technician Certification (Tier 1 minimum; Tier 2 preferred) is strongly preferred or is obtained prior to first cohort Hands-on experience with electric vehicle charging equipment, installation, service, maintenance, or troubleshooting. Strong understanding of electrical systems, safety practices, and EV charging infrastructure. Ability to explain technical concepts and provide hands-on instruction to students with varying levels of experience.
