Founded in 1993 and based in South Texas, PES provides commissioning, startup, maintenance testing, and power system studies for utility, industrial, governmental, and commercial clients across the United States and internationally. The team of engineers and technicians supports projects ranging from low-voltage power distribution to utility substations, including emergency response services available 24/7. PES also operates a NAIL-accredited high-voltage testing lab serving the Texas electrical industry, testing rubber protective goods to the latest

ASTM/ANSI

standards. The organization focuses on delivering safe, efficient, ethical, and high-quality technical services using modern methodologies and software tools. Role Description NETA Technicians at Power Engineering Services, LLC perform field testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical power distribution equipment for a variety of client sites, including utility, industrial, governmental, and commercial facilities. Day-to-day responsibilities include executing acceptance and maintenance testing, performing diagnostic evaluations, documenting test results, assisting with power system studies, and supporting troubleshooting and corrective action in the field. Technicians collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure that all work adheres to NETA standards, safety requirements, and client specifications. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Austin, TX, which may involve local and regional travel to customer locations and participation in 24/7 emergency response when needed. Qualifications Demonstrated experience with electrical testing, commissioning, and maintenance of power distribution equipment (e.g., switchgear, transformers, breakers, protective relays). Knowledge of NETA standards and best practices, with prior NETA certification (Level II, III, or IV) strongly preferred. Understanding of power system studies such as short circuit, protective device coordination, arc flash, harmonic analysis, load flow, and motor starting. Ability to use modern test equipment and engineering software tools for data collection, analysis, and reporting. Strong commitment to electrical safety practices, including familiarity with

ASTM/ANSI

standards and PPE use. Effective technical communication skills for preparing clear test reports and interacting with clients and team members. Capacity to work on-site in field environments, including occasional extended hours, travel, and participation in emergency response services. Relevant technical education, such as a degree or certification in electrical engineering, engineering technology, or a related field; equivalent military or industrial experience considered. Valid driver's license and eligibility to access industrial, governmental, and utility facilities as required.
