Job Description

This is a field service and mechanical troubleshooting role, not IT support. As a Field Technical Support Specialist (Mechanical/Construction), you will be the front-line resource for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving product installation and operational issues in the field. This role focuses on mechanical systems, motor controls, electrical connections, and product installations — supporting our dealer network and end users in achieving safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes. You'll provide both remote and on-site technical assistance, ensuring equipment and systems perform to spec. What You'll Do Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and installation issues on product systems through phone, email, and on-site support. Troubleshoot motor controls, wiring connections, structural alignment, and system operation concerns. Respond to all dealer service calls within 2 business hours; coordinate field visits or technical follow-ups as needed. Document service issues, technical solutions, and field feedback in the service management system within 48 hours. Maintain a fully stocked technical service van with tools, test equipment, and product parts for on-site troubleshooting. Lead or assist in dealer training sessions on product installation techniques, system calibration, and operational best practices. Participate in product field testing, providing detailed feedback on mechanical and electrical system performance. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent 3+ years of experience in mechanical systems troubleshooting, construction, or field service roles Hands-on experience with motor controls, low-voltage wiring, and system installations preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Capable of working independently, with occasional travel for on-site service support
