The individual will report to the Engineering Manager. Field service technicians respond to customer callouts, providing technical service and maintenance support at customer locations. Responsible for supporting the installation, maintenance, and repair of custom web handling machinery at customer sites.
Responsibilities:
Responding to customer callouts and field dispatches. Travel as needed for service calls, installations, and support ( typically 50-70%). Meeting with the customer to determine the nature of the service or repair. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs of equipment. Inspecting and troubleshooting equipment failures. Repairing equipment and replacing faulty parts. Support commissioning activities under the guidance of engineering staff. Provide basic training to customer personnel on machine operation and upkeep. Document service work and communicate findings to internal teams. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools and equipment Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software . Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics. Detail-oriented and consistent. Works well as a productive member of a team. Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment. Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Newly Control Engineer graduate are encourage to apply.
Preferred:
Basic understanding of electrical systems.
Physical Requirement:
Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time. Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products or machines as directed. Must have excellent hand-eye coordination. Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components. Must wear gloves and ear protection. Strong work ethic.
