Job Description

Hire Up Staffing is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician in New Braunfels, Texas to support customers with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial air compressor systems and related equipment. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for a hands-on technician with a strong mechanical and electrical background. What You'll Do Diagnose, service, and repair industrial air compressors and associated equipment. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency repairs. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems. Work with reciprocating, centrifugal, oil-free, and other industrial compressor systems. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and equipment drawings. Use diagnostic equipment including multimeters, amp meters, megohm meters, vibration meters, infrared equipment, and data-logging devices. Service variable-speed drives, PLCs, starters, phase monitors, timers, and other industrial controls. Perform oil changes, control adjustments, cleaning, inspections, and general equipment maintenance. Assist with compressor and skid-package installation, assembly, and modifications. Safely rig, remove, install, and replace motors, compressors, and related components. Work with air treatment equipment, including refrigerated and regenerative dryers. Troubleshoot and maintain diesel-powered compressor equipment. Install and service industrial piping systems and related fittings. Support cooling tower and water-quality equipment as needed. Complete service documentation and paperwork accurately each day. Respond to customer service calls and participate in an on-call rotation. Travel throughout the assigned territory, including occasional overnight stays. Maintain a professional, customer-focused approach while working on customer sites. What We're Looking For 3+ years of hands-on industrial air compressor service and repair experience. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities. Ability to troubleshoot and repair multiple types and brands of industrial compressors. Comfortable working with electrical controls, VSDs, PLCs, starters, and automation systems. Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and equipment documentation. Experience with diesel-powered compressors is a plus. Oilfield or industrial field-service experience is highly preferred. Refrigeration/Freon or EPA certification is a plus. Spanish-speaking ability is a plus. High school diploma or technical training preferred. Requirements Valid driver's license with a safe driving history. Must be able to pass a background check. Must provide and maintain your own standard tools and diagnostic equipment. Ability to operate a service truck/van safely. Ability to obtain required equipment certifications, including forklift/crane operation if needed. Willingness to work occasional weekends and participate in on-call coverage. Ability to travel within the assigned territory and occasionally stay overnight. Schedule Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-5:00 PM Occasional weekends, on-call coverage, travel, and overnight stays may be required. This is a permanent, full-time field service position not a rotational role. Interested?
