Highland Prep is rapidly growing, and therefore is seeking an additional staff member to serve in a District Maintenance/Handyman position. Highland Prep is looking for an individual who takes pride in their work to join our team and provide students with a positive first and last impression. Highland Prep is looking for a responsible maintenance/custodian technician to clean, maintain, and protect our facilities. Duties and Responsibilities

• Changing air filters and cleaning vents
• Perform maintenance and minor repairs (replacing broken switches, fixing door handles, minor leaks, painting, drywall repair, etc.)
• Report major damages and oversee repairs
• Secure facilities after operating hours by locking doors, closing windows and setting the alarm
• Other duties as required Requirements
• Proven experience as maintenance technician, custodian, or plant manager
• Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
• Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, up to 5 - 6 hours in the workday.
• Frequent to continuous exposure to direct sunlight and extreme environmental temperature fluctuations for all or most of the workday.
• Ability to lift and move over 50 pounds
• Perform basic tasks including painting and filling crevices, clean facilities and managing maintenance repairs.
• Perform repairs on company machinery, equipment or appliances.
• Repair plumbing, electrical and safety systems.
• Time-management and multitasking abilities
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to climb ladders and work from heights
• Attention to detail and conscientiousness
• Ability to work with minimal supervision Qualifications High School Diploma is Required Must be 25 Years of Age or Older Valid State-Issued Driver's License Arizona Department of Public Safety issued
