Flexible - Part-Time or Full-Time Opportunities Available About Us Property Maintenance Professionals provides maintenance, repairs, property improvements, turnover services, and project management for residential rental properties, short-term rentals, apartment buildings, and homeowners throughout East Central Minnesota. We are seeking reliable, skilled, and self-motivated maintenance technicians who take pride in quality workmanship and excellent customer service. Position Summary The Maintenance Technician / Handyman is responsible for completing maintenance requests, repairs, property turnovers, and improvement projects at various residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, troubleshooting problems, and providing high-quality solutions. ResponsibilitiesGeneral Maintenance Complete routine maintenance and repair work Replace fixtures, hardware, doors, locks, and trim Repair drywall and perform painting and touch-up work Install flooring, baseboards, and finish carpentry Complete minor plumbing repairs and fixture replacements Complete minor electrical repairs and fixture installations Perform seasonal maintenance and property inspections Property Turnovers Prepare vacant units for new tenants Complete punch-list items Repair damage and address maintenance deficiencies Coordinate with cleaners and other contractors as needed Work Orders & Projects Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner Diagnose issues and determine appropriate repairs Communicate project status and completion updates Document completed work with photos when required Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively Emergency Response Assist with urgent maintenance situations when available Respond to after-hours maintenance requests on a rotating basis as needed QualificationsRequired Previous handyman, maintenance, construction, remodeling, or related experience Strong knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and flooring Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong problem-solving skills Reliable transportation Valid driver's license Smartphone with ability to use scheduling and work-order applications Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical labor Preferred Experience working in rental housing, apartment maintenance, or property management Experience with remodeling projects Knowledge of building systems and preventative maintenance Experience with flooring installation, trim carpentry, and light renovation work What We Offer Competitive pay ($25-$35/hour based on experience) Flexible scheduling Consistent work opportunities Variety of projects and responsibilities Supportive team environment Opportunity for advancement and increased responsibility Work independently while being backed by an experienced team Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is dependable, trustworthy, communicates well, takes ownership of their work, and consistently delivers quality results.
