Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Ag Mechanic to join our team dedicated to maintaining and repairing a wide range of agricultural, and industrial equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring all machinery operates at peak performance. Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly, and efficiently. This position offers an opportunity to work with diverse machinery in an agriculture based environment where your mechanical skills will make a tangible difference every day. Duties Conduct thorough diagnostics on farm machinery, industrial and commercial vehicles. Perform repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems to ensure optimal functioning of heavy equipment. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to assemble, repair, or modify machinery components. Service and maintain equipment such as harvesters, forklifts, tractors, semi-truck/trailers, and other agricultural machinery. Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities. Assist with equipment troubleshooting during breakdowns or scheduled maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Skills Experience or extensive background working in an agricultural setting. Skills to include welding and electrical troubleshooting for custom repairs or modifications. Knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics and repair techniques for various engine types. Ability to perform brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, tire service and hydraulic system troubleshooting. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment and safety gear; capable of heavy lifting safely. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients or team members about repairs or maintenance needs.
