Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician operating as an Independent Contractor to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal production efficiency. Your expertise in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting will be vital in supporting our manufacturing processes. You will work independently, demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to equipment maintenance and repair. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment using schematics, electrical blueprints, and technical manuals Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical issues with precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters Diagnose and repair electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and industrial electrical components Operate and maintain HVAC/R systems, including HVAC troubleshooting and repairs to ensure optimal climate control within the facility Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, maintenance activities, and equipment history Conduct welding tasks using welding techniques as required for equipment repairs or modifications Assist with the setup and operation of scissor lifts for high-reach maintenance tasks while adhering to safety protocols Support customer service initiatives by providing timely updates on equipment status and repair progress to internal teams Requirements Proven experience working in a manufacturing facility environment with a strong understanding of industrial mechanics and maintenance practices Hands-on experience with CMMS software for managing maintenance workflows Technical sales experience or familiarity with product troubleshooting is a plus Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, electrical diagnostics, schematics reading, and engineering troubleshooting techniques Ability to operate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters effectively Skilled in equipment troubleshooting, electrical system repairs, welding, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems troubleshooting, and electrical blueprint reading Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage wiring, and electrical systems diagnostics Ability to read schematics and electrical blueprints accurately for complex system repairs Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by industrial electrician experience or industrial mechanic background Familiarity with welding standards applicable in the local region or facility-specific welding requirements Valid certification for operating scissor lifts safely in accordance with OSHA standards Excellent analysis skills combined with customer service orientation to support internal clients effectively Proficiency in using testing tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics Fluency in English required for clear communication within the team and documentation purposes Join us as a Manufacturing Technician (Independent Contractor) if you are eager to leverage your technical expertise in a vibrant manufacturing environment.
