We focus on delivering reliable broadband to areas that are often underserved by traditional providers. We are a small, safety-focused team that values professionalism, quality workmanship, and trust. Our technicians represent Alpine Internet directly in customers' homes and businesses. About the Role We're seeking a reliable, hands-on Installation Technician to support new fixed-wireless installations and service work in the field. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, problem-solving, and learning technical skills. Prior telecom or networking experience is not required; customer focus, reliability, safety awareness, professionalism, and a willingness to learn as we grow the company together is what the Alpine team values. This position starts part-time and is intentionally structured to grow for the right person. What a Typical Day Looks Like Perform fixed-wireless internet installations and service work Mount, aim, and configure radios using provided configurations Run, terminate, test, and dress Ethernet (RJ45) cable Perform wall penetrations and basic cable routing Work on ladders and operate a non-CDL bucket truck when required Use provided tools and equipment safely and correctly Document completed work and materials used Communicate supply and inventory needs Walk customers through their service and answer basic questions Maintain a clean, professional job site Some installations require hiking to remote locations and carrying equipment. Work is physical and may involve outdoor conditions and weather. Schedule & Availability Primarily daytime hours Flexible scheduling, but consistent availability is required Must generally be available at least 3-4 weekdays Some work is weather-dependent Occasional short-notice work during outages or urgent installs What We're Looking For You'll be a great fit if you are: Dependable, punctual, and communicative Comfortable working at heights (ladders and a bucket truck) Physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy equipment Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather Able to use smartphones, computers, and online tools Professional, respectful, and trustworthy in customer homes and businesses Safety-minded with strong attention to detail Organized and able to track materials accurately No prior Internet Service Provider (ISP) or networking experience is required. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.. Requirements Valid driver's license and driving record sufficient to be insured Reliable transportation to job sites in the Cañon City area Ability to pass a background check Comfort with physical labor, heights, and ladder work Basic familiarity with hand and power tools Tools, Vehicle & Training Tools and specialized equipment provided Use of a company bucket truck for many installs Mileage reimbursement when using a personal vehicle On-the-job training provided, including: Fixed-wireless radio installation and configuration training RJ45 cable termination and testing training Bucket truck operation training Ongoing remote technical support from experienced staff You'll be supported; but trusted to work independently and follow best practices without cutting corners. Pay & Growth Starting pay range: $28
