Job Title:
Shop Mobile Equipment Mechanic Employment Type:
Full-Time About the Role Join our team at Amrize as a Shop Mobile Equipment Mechanic in Cañon City, CO. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining our mobile equipment fleet in a state of full operational readiness. You will conduct vehicle/equipment inspections, perform preventive maintenance and complex mechanical repairs, and ensure all mobile assets meet safety and production standards.     Pay Range:
    $28.00 - $38.00 / hour (Starting pay depends on relevant experience, technical certifications, and skill level)

                • Inspect, test, and diagnose mobile heavy equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
                • Perform routine preventive maintenance, lubrication, and filter changes on mobile fleet assets.
                • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults using computerized test equipment, calibration tools, and diagnostic scanners.
                • Repair or replace damaged and worn components using hoists, precision measuring instruments (micrometers, gauges), and hand/power tools.
                • Read and interpret equipment technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
                • Maintain accurate equipment service logs and document maintenance activities within plant reporting systems.
                • Strictly adhere to company, OSHA, and MSHA safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, fall protection, and mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
                • Demonstrate flexibility to work assigned operational shifts as required. What We Are Looking For
                Education:
                High School Diploma or equivalent.
                  Technical Background:
                  Practical background servicing heavy mobile industrial equipment, heavy machinery, or diesel fleets (or equivalent combination of trade school/vocational training and hands-on experience).
                    Travel Requirements:
                    Local travel as required by shop operations.
                      Safety & PPE:
                      Ability to adhere to all safety protocols and proper PPE usage. Roles requiring respirators require candidates to be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass qualitative/quantitative fit testing.
