Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy-Duty Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnostic testing, and repair of our fleet and heavy machinery. We pride itself on safety, efficiency, and professionalism. The ideal candidate will keep a clean, well-organized workspace, take pride in their tools, and maintain an orderly environment to ensure safe and productive operations. This position will also require occasional driving.
Key Responsibilities Perform Diagnostics:
Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy equipment and commercial vehicles.
Execute Repairs:
Repair and rebuild engines, transmissions, brake systems, and drive trains.
Routine Upkeep:
Complete preventative maintenance tasks, including fluid changes, lubrications, and safety inspections.
Maintain Workspace:
Keep shop bays, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and properly stored daily.
Test Machinery:
Conduct post-repair test runs to ensure equipment operates safely and meets factory specifications.
Document Work:
Complete accurate service logs, parts requisitions, and work orders.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a heavy-duty or diesel mechanic.
Education:
High school diploma/GED required; trade school certificate or associate degree in diesel technology preferred.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of hydraulics, electrical systems, and computerized diagnostic software.
Work Ethic:
Proven track record of maintaining a tidy, organized, and safe workspace.
Certifications:
Valid driver's license required (Class A or B CDL is a strong plus).
Physical Demands:

Pay:
$28.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
