Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Reports To:

Service Manager Position Summary Performs comprehensive mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on commercial and contractor equipment. Responsibilities include small engine overhauls, diagnostic troubleshooting, and repairs across gasoline, diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on commercial-grade equipment. Perform maintenance and complete overhauls on small gas and diesel engines. Conduct reel and blade sharpening. Assemble, inspect, and set up new equipment for customer delivery or field demonstration. Recondition pre-owned and lease-return units for resale. Coordinate with the Service Advisor or Shop Foreman to order necessary replacement parts. Complete accurate work orders/job tickets detailing labor hours, parts used, and tasks performed. Stage equipment in work bays manually or via forklift. Properly tag completed work, document warranty repairs, and retain parts per standard procedure. Maintain assigned personal tools, shop equipment, and work bays to ensure a clean, safe environment. Support overall shop workflow and assist team members as needed to maintain high service standards. Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. 1+ years of experience as a service technician; prior experience with commercial turf equipment is strongly preferred. Formal vocational training or coursework in gas/diesel mechanics and electrical systems preferred. Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record to operate vehicles and machinery. Physical Demands & Working Conditions This role requires standing and moving on a concrete shop floor for 80% or more of the workday, with full range of motion to bend, kneel, crawl, and work beneath equipment.
