00 - $45.00 per hour Compensation based on experience. Company service truck, full benefits, and steady year-round work. We are hiring experienced forklift technicians for an established material handling dealer serving the Savannah, GA and Jacksonville, FL market. This is a field service role. You run your own route, diagnose and repair customer equipment on site, and become the tech those accounts ask for by name. What you will do Diagnose, service, and repair forklifts and material handling equipment at customer sites Troubleshoot engine, electrical, and hydraulic problems and run the tests to confirm the fix Talk directly with customers about what you found, what it will take, and what to watch for next Order and stage the parts your jobs need so the repair gets done in one trip when possible Keep your truck, tools, and stock in working order and stay current on preventive maintenance Document your work accurately: service tickets, reports, and logs What you need Two or more years of hands-on forklift or material handling equipment service experience (required) Working knowledge of internal combustion engines: gas, LPG, and diesel Solid grasp of basic electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting Comfortable reading schematics and using diagnostic equipment Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets the employer's insurance standards Your own hand tools (the employer supplies specialty and diagnostic tooling) Able to work independently in the field and communicate clearly with customers Nice to have, not required OEM certifications: Toyota, Hyster-Yale, Crown, Clark, Mitsubishi, Cat, Komatsu, Linde Electric and lithium-ion unit experience Class I through V experience, aerial lifts, telehandlers, or sweepers/scrubbers Welding or fabrication What you get $35 to $45 per hour depending on experience and certifications Overtime available Company service truck, fuel card, phone, and laptop or tablet
