Responsibilities Perform a variety of nail services including gel manicures, acrylic nail application, nail extensions, and intricate nail art using color theory principles to create stunning designs. Conduct pedicures and manicure treatments that promote healthy nails and skin while adhering to salon safety protocols and sanitation standards. Apply esthetic techniques such as dermabrasion, disinfection procedures, and disinfection of tools to ensure a safe environment for clients. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, follow disinfection procedures rigorously, and ensure compliance with all salon safety protocols. Stay updated on industry trends and solutions when appropriate. Experience Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a Nail Technician or Cosmetologist with knowledge of manicure, pedicure, gel manicures, acrylic nails, and nail extensions. Strong understanding of color theory for creating custom nail art designs that match client preferences. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate clients on nail care and recommend additional services or retail products. Familiarity with sanitation standards, disinfection procedures, and salon safety protocols essential for maintaining a hygienic workspace. Additional skills such as eyelash extensions are not required but a plus. Ability to work independently as a contractor while providing professional service in a lively salon environment.
