Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Shop Technician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing a wide range of heavy equipment, farm machinery, and industrial equipment. Maintain fleet trucks and trailers, as well as diagnosing and repairing according to company and DOT standards. Work directly with customers to understand their needs. Responsibilities Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, transmission work, hydraulic system repairs, suspension adjustments, and air brake servicing. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other specialized tools to complete assembly, fabrication, and repair tasks efficiently. Operate heavy machinery safely during on-site repairs or testing procedures to ensure proper functionality before returning equipment to service. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document all repairs performed to ensure compliance with safety standards. Assist with equipment assembly or installation projects as needed while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Ability to operate heavy equipment such as tractor-trailers safely and effectively. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, alignment devices, soldering equipment, and other maintenance tools. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately. Customer service orientation with clear communication skills to explain repairs or maintenance procedures effectively. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor required for tire service or component replacement.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
