ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.

Complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e. tractors trailers bobtails lift gates etc.).Take directions from and assist senior technicians with repairs.

Utilize fleet maintenance system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rulesregulations and government guidelines.

Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications.

Other duties as assigned by manager.

SUPERVISIONNARELATIONSHIPSInternal All Fleet Technicians Drivers Coordinators and ManagerExternal NAWORK ENVIRONMENTOnsite The associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a US Foods maintenance facility.

Ability to work flexible schedule.

Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must have 1 year of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic.

Must furnish own personal hand tools.

Able to read and write legibly (e.g. to attend trainings hold conversations receive safety and job-related coaching and enter information on reports if needed) basic mathematical skills (add subtract divide).EDUCATIONHigh school diploma or equivalent required.

CERTIFICATIONSTRAININGNALICENSESMust possess a valid drivers license.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Valid Class A CDL license and DOT certificationExperience with Maximo fleet maintenance systemPrevious mechanical and PM program experienceExperience using fleet maintenance softwareWelding ability

The expected base rate for this role is between $29.00hr to $37.00hr.

This role will also receive overtime compensation.
