In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting home and light commercial standby Generac generators and related equipment. Your expertise will ensure reliable operation of generators and related mechanical and electrical systems across various settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy machinery, utilize your technical skills, and contribute to critical power solutions that keep operations running smoothly. A strong focus on safety, quality workmanship, and customer service is essential for success in this role. Responsibilities Perform detailed diagnostics and repairs on generators, including engine repair, electrical systems, and mechanical components. Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues effectively. Conduct routine maintenance on power generation systems and small engines to ensure optimal performance. Use hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and other specialized equipment to repair or replace faulty parts. Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct electrical diagnostics and repairs on complex systems involving electrical work and circuitry. Maintain accurate service records, complete inspection reports, and document all repair activities thoroughly. Experience Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic with a focus on power generation systems, or small engine. Dealership experience or background working with Caterpillar or similar heavy equipment is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience, including electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic software for equipment troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with generator repair, small engine maintenance, and equipment repair is essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments. Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and communication. Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
