Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dependable Forklift Mechanic to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining forklifts and related material-handling equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills and experience working with industrial forklifts, including propane units. This position requires a safety-focused individual who can work independently, prioritize repairs, and perform preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and support daily production and warehouse operations. Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain forklifts and other material-handling equipment. Troubleshoot electrical systems, starters, charging systems, batteries, wiring, switches, sensors, and control components. Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems, including pumps, cylinders, hoses, fittings, valves, and mast components. Inspect and repair braking systems, steering systems, transmissions, drive units, cooling systems, and other mechanical components. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, including inspections, lubrication, fluid changes, filter replacement, battery maintenance, and safety checks. Assist with other maintenance duties as needed. Skills & Qualifications Previous experience as a Forklift Mechanic, Industrial Equipment Mechanic, Maintenance Mechanic, or similar position required. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills. Experience servicing propane forklifts. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Technical or vocational training in automotive, diesel, industrial maintenance, or heavy equipment repair preferred. Forklift or material-handling equipment repair experience. Experience maintaining equipment in a manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or industrial facility. Join our team and help keep our material-handling equipment operating safely and efficiently.
