Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and automotive vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our operations across various sectors including construction, agriculture, and industrial services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills in a fast-paced environment where safety and quality are top priorities. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on heavy equipment, including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery using schematics and electrical testing tools. Conduct repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, HVAC systems, and air brake components. Fabricate parts or modify equipment using welding, soldering, and power tools to meet operational specifications. Maintain and repair industrial equipment such as tractors-trailers, power tools, and other machinery essential for daily operations. Execute routine maintenance tasks including tire service, alignment adjustments, vehicle maintenance checks, and preventive upkeep to minimize downtime. Use hand tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot mechanical issues accurately and efficiently. Assemble new equipment or components following technical schematics and safety standards. Assist with heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate lifting gear or machinery. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair needs clearly and ensuring client satisfaction with service quality. Document all repairs and maintenance activities thoroughly for record-keeping and compliance purposes. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in heavy equipment operation and automotive repair. Dealership experience highly preferred for familiarity with manufacturer-specific systems such as Caterpillar or other industrial brands. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; experience working with schematics is essential. Hands-on experience repairing excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, HVAC systems, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension components, and diesel engines. Knowledge of electrical systems related to automotive diagnostics and industrial machinery is required. Ability to operate power tools safely while performing complex repairs involving shocks & struts or tire service. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by excellent problem-solving skills in diagnosing issues efficiently. Experience working with farm machinery or other industrial equipment is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs or maintenance tasks. Customer service orientation with effective communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to clients or team members.
