Laney Co. Inc. is an established, successful construction firm in Eldersburg, MD. We are searching for an experienced, committed, career-minded Electronics Technician/Mechanic to be part of our growing team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Always ensures a safe work environment for self and others Maintain a clean and organized work environment Install and repair backup cameras, GPS, and dashcams on trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment Conducts light repairs of all types of equipment as required to ensure proper working condition Perform other duties as assigned Follow all safety policies and use proper
PPE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent preferred Basic math, reading, and writing skills are required (English) Must be safety-oriented and exhibit safe work habits Experience with installing & repairing electronics on heavy-duty trucks, dump trucks, road tractors, and trailers Must be able to provide and use a good working set of tools
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be a minimum of 21 years old Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check An emphasis on safety on and off the road Punctual and reliable; good attendance required Knowledge of DOT standards and requirements Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Understand and follow directions
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions or shop Lift and move up to 75 pounds Stand for prolonged amounts of time Walk, bend, kneel, and twist Willing to work overtime as needed Able to work from elevated platforms
SALARY/HOURLY EXEMPTION
Full-Time, Non-Exempt Position Salary based on knowledge, experience, and education
EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED is preferred
EXPERIENCE
Prefer 2+ years' experience in installing & repairing electronics on trucks, trailers, and equipment. M.T.
