Job Description

Job Summary:
Fuller Marine Services is seeking a skilled mechanic to join our team in the Mid-Coast area. This is a hybrid role designed for a technically-minded individual who can translate mechanics of everything into daily organization of the shop and our fleet. You will be responsible for the upkeep of our shop and fleet,
Key Responsibilities:
Mechanical & Maintenance Perform routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our fleet of vehicles, marine equipment, and machinery. Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues to keep all equipment field-ready. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize operational downtime. Maintain accurate and up-to-date service records for all fleet assets. Shop Organization & Workflow Take full ownership of the shop's physical layout, establishing a clean, safe, and highly organized workspace. Manage inventory for parts, tools, and shop supplies, anticipating needs and ordering materials to maintain optimal stock levels. Develop and implement streamlined processes for tool tracking, equipment sign-outs, and maintenance logging. Coordinate closely with the office and field crews to ensure the right equipment is prepped, loaded, and ready to deploy for upcoming jobs.
Qualifications:
Proven hands-on experience as a mechanic (experience with diesel & gas engines marine and highway and equipment is a strong plus). A natural knack for organization, logistics, and process improvement. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple shifting priorities. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to preventing mechanical issues before they arise. A valid driver's license and a reliable track record. Helpful to have a knowledge of some or all of the following: welding/fabrication, shop coatings, marine and automotive electrical, hydraulics, small engine, and outboard moters
Physical Requirements:
Physical Requirements Lifting and Carrying:
Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and move heavy parts, tools, and equipment (regularly up to 50 lbs, and occasionally up to 75 lbs).
Stamina:
Ability to stand and walk on concrete shop floors or uneven outdoor surfaces for extended periods throughout the workday.
Environmental Tolerance:
Comfort working both inside a shop and outdoors in varying Mid-Coast weather conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, grease, and standard shop fluids.
Details:
Hourly Wage, with potential for additional overtime hours and holidays. Pay range starts at $35.00- 45.00 per hour (commensurate with experience). 4 days on, 3 days off if that is the schedule you want. Fuller Marine Services, Inc. is an
