DYNAMIC COMPONENT MECHANIC - JOB 1134
Join Enstrom Helicopter in Menominee, Michigan, just 50 minutes north of Green Bay. Located along the shores of Lake Michigan, the Menominee/Marinette area is an outdoor paradise. At Enstrom, you will be part of a close-knit team where your work is seen and valued. As a proud U.S. manufacturer of FAA-certified rotorcraft, we build nearly 90 of each helicopter in-house. Our team enjoys a clean, growth-focused environment with a Monday through Friday schedule.

Pay Range:
$25.00-$35.00 per hour
BASIC WORKER FUNCTION
Build, repair, and inspect complex helicopter components and assemblies, including rotor hubs, shafts, gearboxes, and dampers. Ensure all components are built and repaired according to dimensional specifications and established quality standards.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF TASKS
  • Select the correct parts and measure them using precision tools.
  • Smooth and fit parts to meet exact dimensional requirements.
  • Drill and shape holes using shop equipment and hand drills.
  • Align parts using jigs and fixtures.
  • Assemble components using bolts, hardware, and safety wire as required.
  • Build rotor spindles, hubs, and swashplate assemblies.
  • Assemble and test dampers and accurately record test results.
  • Build main rotor shafts, transmissions, and related components.
  • Assemble tail rotor gearboxes and housings.
  • Install control components and connect moving systems.
  • Inspect and test completed assemblies to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Adjust, repair, and overhaul used precision components.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Strong experience working with helicopter mechanical components.
  • Good understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
FAR 65.103
repairman certificate or A&P license required.
  • Ability to build and repair precision transmission and rotor components.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools, including micrometers and calipers.
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail when performing precise work.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and written instructions.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and recordkeeping skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and perform basic shop math.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED.
FAR 65.103
repairman certificate or A&P license required.
  • Five or more years of experience working with helicopter components preferred.
  • Proven ability to build, test, and repair precision components.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent use of hands to perform detailed and repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to bend, reach, and work in confined spaces as needed.
  • Adequate vision to measure and inspect small components.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
