In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. Your expertise will ensure that all vehicles and machinery operate safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our operational goals. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on trucks, trailers, forklifts, excavators, cranes, and other heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose complex mechanical issues using schematics, automotive electrical systems diagnostics, and specialized tools. Repair and overhaul transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspensions, shocks & struts, and other mechanical systems on various vehicles and machinery. Conduct fabrication tasks such as welding and assembly to modify or repair equipment as needed. Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to perform repairs, replacements, and adjustments. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and maintenance logs for all performed tasks. Assist with tire service, wheel alignments, HVAC repairs on equipment, and heavy lifting operations to support daily maintenance activities. Requirements Proven experience working as a mechanic with a focus on diesel and gasoline equipment repair. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and vehicle diagnostics. Hands-on experience with heavy truck repair, farm machinery, industrial equipment, or vehicle systems for truck drivers. Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical manuals for troubleshooting complex issues. Skilled in welding, fabrication techniques, and the use of power tools for equipment repair or modification. Familiarity with safety protocols related to air brake systems, heavy lifting procedures, and equipment operation. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members and clients alike.
