Key Responsibilities Material Handling Equipment Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Coordinate with external service providers for major repairs when required. Maintain maintenance records and equipment service schedules. Industrial Battery Maintenance Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot forklift batteries and charging systems. Monitor battery watering, charging cycles, and overall battery health. Ensure battery room safety procedures are followed and maintained. Perform routine inspections of battery chargers and related electrical equipment. Dock Equipment Maintenance Inspect, maintain, and repair warehouse dock doors, dock levelers, seals, shelters, and restraints. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and operational issues. Coordinate vendor repairs for specialized equipment when necessary. Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure compliance and operational reliability. Safety & Compliance Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures. Conduct regular equipment inspections and identify safety concerns. Participate in workplace safety programs and training. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and equipment standards. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. 5+ years of maintenance experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment. Experience servicing forklifts and industrial batteries. Knowledge of dock doors, dock levelers, and warehouse equipment. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically demanding environment. Preferred Forklift Technician certification or related trade certification. Experience with electric forklifts and battery management systems. Knowledge of PM (Preventative Maintenance) programs. Basic welding and fabrication experience. Electrical troubleshooting experience.
