About the Role As a Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will serve as a critical technical expert responsible for ensuring our fleet remains operational and efficient. By leveraging advanced diagnostic technology, you will resolve complex mechanical issues, minimize equipment downtime, and provide high-quality maintenance solutions that keep our operations moving forward. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair intricate hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems across a diverse range of heavy machinery. Utilize digital diagnostic tools and tablet-based software to document work orders and track service intervals with precision. Travel to various job sites to perform on-site repairs, ensuring equipment is restored to peak performance safely and effectively. Maintain a professional service vehicle and manage inventory of necessary parts to ensure timely project completion. Provide mentorship to junior technicians, sharing technical knowledge to elevate overall team capability. Interpret complex schematics and technical diagrams to identify root causes of equipment failure and implement lasting corrective actions. Required Skills Proven mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in heavy equipment maintenance. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and hydraulic schematics. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks in various environments. Ownership of personal tools required for standard mechanical repairs. Preferred Skills Completion of a trade school certification or equivalent technical training. Prior experience in a field service role managing customer-owned equipment. Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and compliance requirements.
