POSITION
Position Mechanic

We specialize in high-quality pavement markings, signage, traffic control operations, and sweeping services.
SCHEDULE
- Monday-Friday
- 40+ hours
- Overtime after 40 hours
- Saturdays as needed
RESPONSIBILITIES
Areas of specific responsibility will include the following.
- Perform vehicle repairs to ensure vehicles are safe and will perform optimally.
- Perform preventative maintenance, safety inspections and annual maintenance inspections.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical problems.
- Ensure work orders are completed properly and accurately (including hours and usage of parts).
- Evaluate completed work, and if necessary, consult with supervisor to ensure machine/truck is functioning properly and meets safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment (Safety is not just our first name!)
- Complete tasks assigned by the supervisor in an effective and timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
Important technical skills/functional abilities include:
- Valid driver's license. CDL preferred. Tanker/hazmat certification a plus
- Vocational or technical degree in vehicle maintenance is preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Attention to detail.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
- Must be able to lift or move 40 lbs. and complete repetitive lifting, bending, and stooping or kneeling.
- Must have appropriate mechanic's toolset.
- One to two years of automotive or diesel repair employment experience or a combination of education and experience
- Good people skills
- patient, cooperative, and a positive attitude!
- Isuzu, Peterbilt, Ford, International, Paccar and Cummins experience is a plus.
