Job:
The Maintenance Lube Technician is responsible for the performance of the following duties in a safe and productive manner.
Responsibilities:
Job Duties (Not Limited to): Perform daily lubrication tasks on all mobile mining equipment in pit operations. Operates and inspects machines and equipment to diagnose/trouble shoot defectsPerform regularly scheduled PM services and have knowledge of any and all current lubes being usedMaintain service equipment such as service truck, fuel pumps, lube systems and other equipment needed to perform required dutiesAssist in keeping an accurate and up-to-date record of any PM services performedDismantle and reassemble equipment as necessary Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges Assist in the replacement of defective engines and subassembliesTests overhauled equipment to insure operating efficiency Assist workers in assembly and disassembly of equipmentAssist in the ordering of parts Assist in scheduling and prioritizing of equipment maintenanceCreate work orders and job requests when necessaryPerform daily workplace and equipment safety inspectionsMaintain a clean and citation-free mine site environment Physical Requirements Follow all procedures and safety measures to assure safe productionWork in all conditions and environments, approximately 80% of job is outdoorsAble to lift 65 lbs. on an occasional basisAble to walk up and down slopes and uneven ground dailyAble to bend and stoop, craw on a continuous basis (access machines as needed) Workplace Requirements Work as a team member and communicate openly with othersSelf-directed and able to take leadership role on many projectsWilling to stop work for safety concerns and always abide by safety best practices, policies and proceduresRotation of work assignments to maintain trainingRespirator use is requiredAbility to work alone5-5-4 Rotational Shift Schedule Preferred background/education A high school diploma or equivalent A vocational-technical college degree1-3 years experience in equipment maintenance
