Marine Craftsman Team Lead

Job Description

Cumberland River Docks and Metal Works Marine Construction Company located in Hendersonville, Tennessee. We service mainly Old Hickory Lake and Cumberland River Basin. We specialize in the construction of new aluminum boat docks, galvanized steel docks, boat lifts, jet-ski ports, boat dock repair and service, shoreline steps, walking paths, riprap erosion control, dredging and commercial boat docks.
POSITIONS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE
Marine Craftsman Team Lead Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that work is done safely, on time and within budget.
  • Ability to work with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a courteous and tactful manner
  • Ensure efficient operations across team throughout work day
  • Ensure all job materials are loaded and secured to the trucks, trailers, and boat.
  • Communicate and execute instructions for building and installing products that meet quality standards across team.
  • Communicate effectively with management throughout work day
  • Ensure proper use and care for company owned tools and equipment
  • Follows all boating laws and regulations on the lake and river
Skills and Abilities:
  • Prefer at least 1-3 years of welding experience or carpentry experience
  • Prefer at least 2 years of dock building, boat lift building/installation, and/or heavy equipment operation
  • At least 2 years in a lead or management position
  • Recognize the different size/grade/quality of material
  • Demonstrate the ability to use and operate hand and power tools
  • Experience pulling a 30' trailer and/or heavy equipment preferred
  • Knowledge of general construction operations
  • Ability to pay attention to surroundings and weather conditions
  • Ability to identify equipment malfunctions and report items that need to be fixed/replaced
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have a clean driving record with no traffic violations in the last 3 years
  • Must pass a physical and drug test
  • Have a clean background with no felonies on record
