Shop Mechanic - Hawkins Lease Service Inc. Alvin, Texas Hawkins Lease Service Inc. is a well-established, family-owned oilfield construction and lease services company based in Alvin, TX. We are seeking a reliable and experienced Shop Mechanic to join our team. Pay $18 - $25 per hour (depending on experience) Position Summary You will diagnose, repair, and maintain our fleet of trucks, vehicles, and small engines in our shop. This is a hands-on role for a self-motivated mechanic who can work independently with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical issues on trucks and small engines Create accurate parts lists and complete repairs efficiently Repair and service air conditioning systems and suspensions Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, inspections, and preventive services Maintain a clean and safe work environment Requirements Minimum 10 years total work history Minimum 5 years dedicated vehicle and small engine repair experience Self-starter who can work unsupervised Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Live within 25 miles of Alvin, Texas Current valid Texas driver's license Own a general set of mechanic's tools Reliable transportation to the shop Ideal Candidate A dependable, detail-oriented mechanic who takes pride in quality work and keeping vehicles running safely and efficiently.
