Ag Equipment Technician - Vandermeer Diesel Equipment Services We are currently seeking a Ag Equipment Technician to join our service department. Job Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Follow work order instructions and complete assigned repairs accurately and efficiently Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy diesel equipment Inspect and perform repairs on all major components and systems of heavy equipment Perform preventative maintenance and routine service on equipment Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems Communicate with the Parts Department and Service Manager regarding parts and materials needed for repairs Accurately document completed repairs, maintenance, and diagnostic findings Clearly explain completed work and any additional issues identified during service Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area to promote an efficient workflow Safely use tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment Demonstrate a willingness to learn new equipment, technologies, and repair procedures Work professionally and respectfully with coworkers, management, and customers Perform other job-related duties as assigned Required Skills & Qualifications Advanced mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting ability Experience with computerized diagnostic tools Ability to follow detailed instructions and complete repairs efficiently Strong communication skills Ability to accurately document completed repairs and maintenance work Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Dependable work ethic and punctuality Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Willingness to learn and develop new skills Reliable transportation Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of heavy diesel mechanic experience Experience working with AGCO equipment Experience working on agricultural and/or construction equipment Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine diagnostics Experience with preventative maintenance and equipment inspections Strong customer service skills Welding and fabrication experience is a plus What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who takes pride in doing quality work and understands the importance of getting the job done right.
