Shop Mechanic - Full-Time / Temp-to-Hire Motivera Search Group is seeking an experienced Shop Mechanic for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity in the Cresson, TX area.

Pay:

$19.00-$22.00 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-5:00 PM

Hours:

Approximately 50 hours per week (40 regular + approximately 10 overtime)

Job Responsibilities:

Perform routine preventative maintenance and general mechanical repairs Complete oil and filter changes Replace water pumps and other basic mechanical components Repair and change flat tires Perform maintenance and repairs on company trailers and tractor-trailers Inspect tires, brakes, hoses, belts, fluids, and other mechanical components Perform basic non-electrical mechanical troubleshooting Identify worn or damaged parts requiring repair or replacement Safely use mechanic hand tools, power tools, jacks, and shop equipment Maintain a clean and organized shop/work area Assist with other fleet and equipment maintenance as needed

Requirements:

Previous hands-on mechanic or mechanical maintenance experience required Experience with trailers, tractor-trailers, fleet vehicles, automotive, or similar equipment preferred Must be comfortable performing basic mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance Must be able to safely use mechanic hand and power tools Dependable attendance and reliable transportation Must be available to work approximately 50 hours per week Welding experience is a plus, but not required This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with consistent weekly overtime and the potential for long-term employment.
