Duties & Responsibilities :

Inspect and verify crabs for injuries and unresponsiveness prior to blood extraction. Extract blood from racked crabs using a 12 gauge needle Collect blood into bottles and deliver to the laboratory. Daily housekeeping responsibilities including but not limited to: cleaning walls, floor and tables within the tent area. Responsible for proficiency in all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in areas of responsibility. Responsible for documentation as required by company policy, cGMP and FDA. Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Physical Demands :

Tasks require full range of motion of arms and upper body. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to; stand, walk, and use hands in a repetitive manner. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly wears protective clothing (goggles, face shield, surgical mask, cap, gloves, scrubs, boots) The employee regularly works with or near sharp objects, caustic chemicals, biohazards, live animals. The employee could occasionally be exposed to allergens (shellfish), unpleasant odors, wet/humid and/or warm temperature conditions The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate #
