Job Description:
Your Impact in This Role As a Mechanic , your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Qualifications and Requirements Maintenance spare parts inventory and order parts as needed Perform general preventative maintenance and repairs on facility machinery and equipment Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical issues and pneumatic valves Weld, fabricate and patch steel components as needed Rig and install motors, conveyor pulleys, and other heavy machinery Maintain and back up sorting computer software and parameters Complete daily maintenance logs and manage preventative Maintenance programs Communicate equipment issues across shifts and support team efforts Provide on the job training to new employees and serve as backup for other technicians To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following. High School Diploma/GED preferred Ability to manage time and prioritize effectively Team player, able to lead and contribute to a team effort Excellent communication and people skills Analytical problem solving and troubleshooting skills Able to work safely and efficiently Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics preferred Glass processing knowledge is a plus
