With 11 locations throughout the state. LCS leads the industry in retail sales, service, and rental of construction equipment and supplies. We currently employ 140 full-time people and continue to grow. We are looking to add a Rental Technician to our Madison location. The Rental Technician is a hands-on position requiring superior customer service skills along with some mechanical aptitude or repair knowledge. The successful candidate will multi-task in a variety of daily branch rental activities. Responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fleet equipment. Analyzes mechanical and operational problems assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective action.
Rental Technician Responsibilities:
Assist in Loading and Unloading rental equipment. Process paperwork for rental contracts and invoices. Simple maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of rental fleet. Respond to outside rental service calls as needed Light customer service repairs Understands customer needs and ensures that those needs are met in a timely manner. Resolve rental disputes fairly and promptly to maintain the best customer relationships. Learns and maintains operating procedures of rental equipment and can inform customers of correct operation procedures. • Ensures product availability and that products are maintained in a manner to encourage rentals. • Makes sure that the wash bay, and yard is maintained in neat, clean, and organized manner. Attend to offsite service calls when needed related to equipment support.
Rental Mechanic Qualifications:
Basic small engine knowledge and mechanical ability is desired. Some basic computer knowledge. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Some heavy lifting is required. Courteous and professional customer service to all internal/external customers. Ability to read and understand parts diagrams, schematics and other materials as required to diagnose and repair equipment. Minimal Requirements Valid driver's license with a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets the standards of our insurance carrier.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, sit, kneel, bend, reach as needed to complete repairs. Ability to lift 50-75 lbs regularly and or occasionally Ability to work outdoors when required. Requires ability to work in both hot and cold weather. To succeed in this position knowledge and experience in the following areas is desired. In house training is provided.
