Role Description The Diesel Mechanic role at MidAtlantic Energy Services, LLC is a full-time, on-site position based in Morgantown, WV. This role is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines and heavy equipment used in oil and gas service operations, including trucks, pumps, and related field equipment. Day-to-day tasks include performing scheduled and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, completing necessary documentation, and ensuring equipment is safe, reliable, and compliant with company standards. The Diesel Mechanic will collaborate closely with operations and field crews to minimize downtime, prioritize repairs, and support efficient deployment of equipment to customer sites. This role also involves maintaining a clean, organized work area, following all safety procedures, and participating in ongoing training to stay current with industry best practices. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Diesel Mechanics and experience working with Heavy Equipment in the Oil and Gas industry. Candidates should possess skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Equipment Maintenance for fleet and field machinery. Candidates should possess skills in Preventive Maintenance, including inspections, servicing, and recordkeeping. Relevant technical training or certification in diesel technology, automotive, or heavy equipment repair is beneficial. Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and work orders, and use diagnostic tools effectively. Strong commitment to safety, adherence to company policies, and capability to work in a physically demanding environment. Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with supervisors, technicians, and field teams. Previous experience in the oil and gas industry or similar field service environment is a plus.
