Experience working specifically with Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove appliances is a major plus , but we also welcome candidates with strong experience in appliance maintenance and repair, electrical wiring and troubleshooting, HVAC, refrigeration, or another mechanical and problem-solving discipline. While we prefer seasoned appliance repair technicians, we are willing to train otherwise great candidates who have the right technical background, attitude, and willingness to learn.
Technician Responsibilities Include:
Servicing and repairing Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove appliances, including refrigerators, washers, gas ranges, and more Using diagnostic tools to accurately determine appliance repair plans Educating customers about their appliances, including how to best use and maintain them Driving to customers' homes in a company-provided vehicle with the parts necessary to complete the service or repair Maintaining the highest level of professionalism and excellent customer relations during every appliance repair service call Qualifications and Skills Successful candidates should: Have relevant experience in any of the following areas: Appliance maintenance and repair for any brand Commercial refrigeration Home refrigerator repair Oven repair Dishwasher repair Electrical wiring and troubleshooting HVAC Another mechanical trade or discipline Have prior experience repairing Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove appliances as a major plus Possess a great attitude and professional appearance Enjoy the customer service side of the job and be comfortable earning the trust and goodwill of sophisticated clientele Have a strong work ethic and be driven to deliver exceptional service and repair experiences Possess excellent customer service skills. Box Appliance has hundreds of 5-star reviews across online platforms, and our current appliance technicians take pride in the quality of work and service they provide Be tech-savvy, as more and more appliance repair work involves computers and technology Be detail-oriented, including following specific process steps to ensure quality workmanship and typing accurate appliance service notes Be a self-starter who is always willing to learn and become an even better appliance technician to better serve our Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove customers Be able to lift 60 lbs., push 100 lbs., and pull 50 lbs. Be authorized to work in the U.S. While we prefer a seasoned appliance repair technician, we will train otherwise great candidates for the job. Compensation and Benefits Box Appliance reasonably expects to pay $25-$40 per hour as a good-faith estimate of the hourly wage upon hire for this position in California. Placement within this range will be determined based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. Technicians with greater experience may be placed toward the higher end of the range, while less experienced technicians may be placed toward the lower end. Paid training is provided where applicable.
