Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Appliance Repair Technician — Contractor to join our dynamic field service team! In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and installing a wide range of household appliances in customers' homes. Your expertise will ensure that appliances operate efficiently and reliably, providing exceptional service that exceeds customer expectations. This position offers the opportunity to work independently while utilizing your technical skills to solve complex appliance issues with confidence and professionalism. Responsibilities Diagnose appliance malfunctions using schematics, electrical diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques. Perform repairs and maintenance on various appliances, including refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, and more. Install new appliances following manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble appliances accurately. Interpret electrical wiring diagrams, plumbing schematics, and mechanical drawings to guide repairs. Conduct equipment troubleshooting to identify root causes of failures efficiently. Maintain detailed service records, including work performed, parts used, and customer interactions. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in appliance repair and installation. Proficiency in reading schematics and ladder diagrams for electrical systems. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment repair techniques. Experience with refrigeration systems, electrical work, plumbing connections, and assembly processes. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Familiarity with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) practices in a field service environment. Ability to operate company vehicles such as box trucks or service vans safely and responsibly. Knowledge of electrical experience relevant to appliance troubleshooting and repair tasks.
