THE ROLE ASC
has been a leader in appliance repair for over 40 years. Our work is primarily manufacturer warranty and authorized service — flat-rate jobs, very little COD. We are hiring a Senior Lead Technician. This person will still diagnose and repair in the home, and will also help recruit, train, coach, and build a high-performing local team. If you are the technician other techs already call when a job goes sideways, this role is built for you. Success here is first-time fix, clean documentation, manufacturer compliance, and teaching other techs to work the same way — not hunting cash jobs.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Diagnose, service, and repair major consumer appliances in-home at a senior technician standard. Act as the local technical lead: take the hard calls, second-look failed jobs, and support techs in the field by phone or on-site. Help build the team — screen candidates, ride-along with new hires, train on diagnostics, manufacturer guidelines, truck stock, and customer communication. Set the example for first-time fix rate, documentation quality, parts discipline, and professionalism. Maintain electronic service records, assigned truck stock, and the service van maintenance schedule. Accept remote dispatching on an electronic device and meet productivity and quality goals. Follow manufacturer repair guidelines and ASC policies. Flag process gaps that hurt customers or techs.
Work our model:
warranty and authorized flat-rate service, accurate records, parts discipline, and no shortcuts that create callbacks or manufacturer issues.
WHO WE WANT
5+ years of in-home major appliance repair (or equivalent) across multiple brands and product lines. Proven ability to read schematics, diagnose electrically, and finish jobs cleanly the first time. Someone other technicians already respect — patient enough to teach, direct enough to hold a standard. Valid driver's license and a clean, safety-first driving record. High school diploma or GED. Strong written and verbal communication with customers and dispatch. Self-directed. Comfortable with reasonable overtime. Able to lift up to 75 lbs and move major appliances. Comfortable with electronic dispatching, parts tracking, and keeping records accurate.
PREFERRED
Prior lead, trainer, shop foreman, or "go-to tech" experience. Factory authorization or strong history with LG, Samsung, Whirlpool, Electrolux, or similar brands. EPA certification. Experience helping hire or onboard field technicians. Comfortable with warranty / authorized-servicer work and flat-rate productivity — not a COD-only background.
PAY & BENEFITS
Pay is one track or the other — hourly or commission — not both stacked. Hourly for this Senior Lead role is $32.00 - $40.00 per hour DOE ($40 is the top of the lead range, not the starting rate). Regular field technicians are $28.00 - $35.00 per hour.
Commission track is performance pay:
30% of every completed job. This is a warranty and flat-rate operation with very few COD calls. Company truck, fuel card, tools provided, safety equipment provided 401(k) with matching retirement plan Dental, vision, employee assistance program, employee discount Paid time off, paid training, parental leave, flexible schedule On-the-job training, professional development assistance, referral program
HOW TO APPLY
Send a short note on the markets you have worked, the brands you know best, and whether you have trained or led other techs. Include a resume if you have one — a clear work history and references from dispatch or manufacturers matter more than a polished CV. Appliance Service Center is a non-homogenous organization. We look for people with different backgrounds and experiences because those differences make the service we provide stronger. This is a builder role. If you only want to run your own route and go home, this is not the job. If you want to leave a market better than you found it — with a real team behind you — apply.
