Position Summary The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining residential and light commercial HVAC systems while providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong troubleshooting abilities, technical knowledge, and the ability to work independently while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and professionalism. Perform preventative maintenance on heating and air conditioning equipment. Inspect HVAC systems to identify mechanical, electrical, and performance issues. Install replacement parts and components as needed. Test HVAC systems after repairs to ensure proper operation and efficiency. Explain repair recommendations and maintenance needs clearly to customers. Maintain accurate service records and work orders. Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA standards. Ensure all work is completed professionally and efficiently. Maintain company vehicle, equipment, and inventory. Respond to emergency service calls when scheduled. Assist with HVAC installations when necessary. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Represent ASAP Heating & Cooling professionally at all customer locations. Qualifications Required Minimum 2 years of HVAC Technician experience Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Experience servicing residential HVAC systems Knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals EPA Certification (Preferred but not required) Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a background check Excellent customer service skills Strong communication skills Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred Qualifications Candidates with experience in the following areas are highly encouraged to apply: Heat Pumps Split Systems Package Units Furnaces Mini-Split Systems Thermostat Installation Refrigeration Diagnostics Electrical Troubleshooting Airflow Balancing Refrigerant Charging Preventative Maintenance Programs Indoor Air Quality Products Ductwork Repairs Residential System Installations Skills We're Looking For Strong mechanical aptitude Critical thinking and problem-solving Attention to detail Time management Customer-focused mindset Professional appearance Positive attitude Honest and dependable Team player Self-motivated Ability to prioritize multiple service calls Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Lift up to 75 pounds Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions Climb ladders Work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and confined spaces Bend, kneel, stoop, and stand for extended periods Safely operate power tools and HVAC equipment Work Schedule Full-Time Monday through Friday Occasional evenings and weekends as needed Overtime opportunities available during peak seasons Why Join ASAP Heating & Cooling?
