Job Description

•Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HVAC Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, replacement, and setup of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, the ability to follow plans and specifications, and a commitment to quality workmanship and safety. The HVAC Installer will work closely with Project Managers, HVAC Service Technicians, and other team members to ensure HVAC systems are installed correctly, efficiently, and in accordance with manufacturer specifications, local building codes, and company standards. Responsibilities Install, replace, and set up HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, rooftop units, package units, and other HVAC systems. Install and connect refrigerant lines, condensate drains, gas lines, electrical connections, thermostats, and related HVAC components. Install, modify, and repair HVAC ductwork, including supply and return air systems. Set equipment, hang ductwork, and install HVAC components according to plans, specifications, and manufacturer requirements. Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical plans, equipment specifications, wiring diagrams, and installation instructions. Perform equipment startups and verify proper operation after installation. Assist with refrigerant charging, evacuation, pressure testing, and leak testing as required. Ensure HVAC systems are properly leveled, secured, connected, insulated, and sealed. Perform quality-control inspections of completed installations and identify and correct installation deficiencies. Coordinate with Project Managers, Service Technicians, plumbers, electricians, general contractors, and other trades to ensure installations are completed efficiently. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout each project. Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and other equipment required for HVAC installation. Follow all OSHA requirements, company safety policies, EPA regulations, manufacturer specifications, and applicable local building codes. Properly document materials used, equipment installed, work completed, and any issues encountered on the job. Communicate jobsite conditions, material needs, delays, and installation issues to the Project Manager or supervisor. Assist with troubleshooting and service-related issues when necessary. Travel between job sites as required. Perform other duties related to HVAC installation and project completion as assigned. Qualifications Proven experience as an HVAC Installer or in a similar HVAC installation role. Strong understanding of HVAC installation practices and equipment. Experience installing furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, rooftop units, package units, ductwork, and related components. Knowledge of refrigerant piping, condensate drainage, gas connections, electrical connections, and HVAC controls. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical plans, schematics, and manufacturer installation instructions. EPA 608 Certification is preferred and may be required depending on job responsibilities. Ability to use HVAC hand tools, power tools, meters, gauges, recovery equipment, and other installation equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently as well as effectively with a team. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to identify installation issues and communicate them to management promptly. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required for travel between job sites. HVAC certifications, apprenticeship completion, or Journeyman HVAC license are a plus. Ability to work in various conditions, including attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, mechanical rooms, and outdoor environments. Ability to lift and carry HVAC equipment and materials and perform physically demanding work as required. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver HVAC equipment, tools, and materials. Ability to regularly bend, kneel, climb, reach, crawl, and work in confined or elevated spaces. Ability to work on rooftops, ladders, lifts, attics, crawl spaces, and other challenging jobsite conditions. Ability to safely handle tools, equipment, refrigerants, and construction materials. Ability to work extended hours, weekends, or overtime when required by project schedules.
