Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Lead Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer/Service Tech to oversee and execute complex HVAC system installations, repairs, and maintenance projects. In this pivotal role, you will run projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards and project timelines. Responsibilities Lead the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, ventilation systems, and building automation systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans to ensure precise system setup and configuration. Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot mechanical systems to identify faults quickly. Perform plumbing connections related to HVAC systems and ensure proper integration with existing building infrastructure. Conduct electrical diagnostics for system troubleshooting and repair electrical components within HVAC units. Utilize hand tools and mechanical knowledge to assemble, install, or repair HVAC equipment efficiently. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system operations, addressing client concerns, and ensuring satisfaction during project completion. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including service reports, inspection logs, and compliance records such as EPA certifications. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards while promoting a safe work environment for team members. Experience Proven construction experience with a strong background in HVAC system installation and repair. Service technician experience with hands-on troubleshooting of HVAC systems. Familiarity with mechanical drawings, electrical wiring diagrams, and HVAC design principles. Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC applications along with mechanical systems repair expertise. Experience working with building automation systems (BAS) and electrical systems within commercial or residential settings. Ability to operate hand tools effectively; familiarity with equipment troubleshooting devices such as ohmmeters is preferred. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in HVAC/R or electrical diagnostics are advantageous. A valid driver's license is required.
