About the Role As a Commercial Chiller Field Technician, you will serve as a critical expert in maintaining and optimizing large-scale cooling infrastructure. You will leverage your technical proficiency in centrifugal and screw chiller systems to ensure peak operational efficiency and reliability for our diverse client base. Responsibilities Execute complex repairs and overhauls on large-tonnage chillers, motors, and auxiliary central plant components. Perform comprehensive system commissioning, programming, and start-up procedures to guarantee optimal performance. Drive preventative maintenance schedules to maximize equipment lifespan and minimize unexpected downtime. Utilize advanced rigging techniques to safely manage heavy equipment installations and replacements. Provide expert-level troubleshooting and technical guidance to resolve critical system failures efficiently. Collaborate with internal teams to manage the full lifecycle of repair projects from initial assessment to final delivery. Maintain rigorous adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards across all job sites. Required Skills Minimum of 5 years of journeyman-level experience in commercial or industrial HVAC. Deep technical expertise in chilled water systems, centrifugal, screw, and magnetic bearing chillers. Active EPA Universal Technician Certification. Valid driver's license with a clean record. Proven ability to communicate technical solutions effectively to clients and stakeholders. Preferred Skills Documented experience with Turbocor or oil-free chiller technology. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Construction safety certification. Formal technical schooling or trade certification in HVAC/R.
