Duties Install HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, ventilation equipment, and refrigeration systems in residential and commercial settings Conduct system troubleshooting using electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify issues quickly and accurately Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems, ensuring optimal operation and energy efficiency Read schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to ensure precise installation and system configuration Diagnose electrical and mechanical problems related to HVAC/R equipment and execute effective repairs or replacements Assist with building automation systems integration to enhance system control and efficiency Maintain a clean work environment by following safety protocols, handling hand tools properly, and managing equipment safely during installations or repairs Skills Construction experience with familiarity in plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanical systems repair Service technician experience with HVAC system repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting Strong understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, and building automation systems Knowledge of refrigeration cycles, boiler operation, air conditioning units, and HVAC/R components Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools for installation or repair tasks Ability to interpret electrical diagnostics data using tools like ohmmeters for accurate troubleshooting Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Valid EPA certification for handling refrigerants is required; additional certifications in HVAC/R are a plus Valid driver's license with clean driving record for van transportation between job sites Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a tangible difference!
