HVAC SuperintendentJob Summary The HVAC Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all field operations related to HVAC installation projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with company quality standards. This role provides leadership to field personnel, coordinates with project managers, subcontractors, and customers, and ensures all installations comply with applicable codes, specifications, and safety regulations. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-focused, and willing to travel to job sites as needed. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily HVAC installation activities on multiple job sites. Manage and direct HVAC technicians, installers, and subcontractors. Schedule manpower, equipment, and materials to meet project timelines. Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and company standards. Conduct job site inspections to verify workmanship, safety compliance, and quality control. Coordinate with project managers, vendors, general contractors, and customers throughout each project. Identify and resolve field issues while minimizing project delays. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, local building codes, and company safety policies. Review blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications. Assist with project planning, scheduling, and material procurement. Maintain accurate job documentation, daily reports, and progress updates. Train, mentor, and evaluate field personnel to promote professional development and high performance. Conduct project punch lists and ensure timely completion of all corrective work. Participate in project meetings and communicate project status with management. Support the estimating and operations teams as needed during project planning and execution. Travel to local and regional job sites as required to oversee projects and support field operations. Qualifications Must be Local to the servuce area! Minimum of 5 years of HVAC installation experience, with supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Strong knowledge of commercial and residential HVAC systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents. Thorough understanding of HVAC codes, mechanical systems, and industry best practices. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. OSHA certification preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Must be willing and able to travel to job sites as needed, including occasional overnight travel when required by project demands. Physical Requirements Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions. Ability to climb ladders, lift up to 75 pounds, and work in confined spaces when necessary. Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and driving to multiple job locations.
