Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems with precision and adherence to schematics and design specifications Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation and longevity of systems Troubleshoot and repair HVAC/R systems using electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters and hand tools, resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime Conduct comprehensive system diagnostics for electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and refrigeration components to identify faults or inefficiencies Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to facilitate accurate installation and repairs Service existing systems by replacing worn parts, repairing electrical or mechanical faults, and ensuring compliance with EPA regulations for refrigerants Communicate effectively with customers to explain work performed, provide maintenance recommendations, and ensure customer satisfaction Qualifications Proven construction experience with a strong understanding of mechanical systems repair and installation processes Service technician experience in HVAC or related fields is highly desirable Knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics, building automation systems, electrical systems, plumbing, refrigeration, and boiler operations Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair, maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters Mechanical knowledge related to appliance repair, air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and mechanical systems repair techniques Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently in various installation environments Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; driver certification preferred EPA certification for refrigerant handling required or obtainable upon hire Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients Knowledge of electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting electrical components within HVAC systems is essential Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS), electrical diagnostics tools, and equipment repair techniques enhances performance in this role Join us as an HVAC Installer Technician where your skills will directly contribute to creating comfortable environments while advancing your expertise in a supportive team setting.
