Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and efficiency of building systems. In this energetic position, you will diagnose, repair, install, and maintain a wide range of HVAC systems, including refrigeration, mechanical systems, and building automation controls. Your expertise will help deliver reliable climate control solutions to commercial and residential clients while providing exceptional customer service. Duties Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment (including ammonia refrigeration), and mechanical systems. Troubleshoot electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and conduct equipment troubleshooting to identify issues accurately. Read and interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, and building automation system diagrams to ensure precise system setup and repairs. Conduct routine HVAC system maintenance to optimize performance and energy efficiency while adhering to safety standards. Diagnose complex electrical systems and mechanical issues involving plumbing, electrical diagnostics, and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems. Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment for repairs and installations with precision and safety in mind. Provide excellent customer service by explaining technical issues clearly and offering solutions that meet client needs while maintaining professionalism on field service calls. Qualifications Proven experience in construction or property maintenance with a focus on HVAC system repair and installation. Service technician experience working with HVAC systems, refrigeration units, or mechanical systems is highly preferred. Strong understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, building automation systems, electrical systems, and plumbing. Knowledge of HVAC/R equipment troubleshooting techniques along with mechanical knowledge related to boilers and ammonia refrigeration systems. Ability to perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters; experience with electrical systems is essential. Familiarity with HVAC system maintenance practices including routine inspections and repairs to ensure optimal operation. EPA certification (or equivalent) for handling refrigerants is required; additional certifications related to appliance repair or boiler operation are advantageous.
