This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of HVAC systems, including refrigeration, boilers, and building automation systems, utilizing your technical expertise to deliver exceptional service. You will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing installations, and providing ongoing maintenance to keep facilities running smoothly. Duties Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, heating equipment, ventilation systems, refrigeration units, boilers, and building automation controls Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, electrical diagrams, and HVAC design plans to troubleshoot and repair equipment effectively Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters to identify faults within electrical systems and components Perform routine preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems to optimize performance and extend equipment lifespan Troubleshoot complex issues involving refrigeration, ammonia refrigeration systems, plumbing connections, electrical systems, and mechanical components Use hand tools and specialized equipment to perform repairs accurately while adhering to safety standards and EPA regulations for refrigerants Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about system issues, repair timelines, and maintenance recommendations Requirements Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a related construction or property maintenance role Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems Ability to read schematics, electrical diagrams, and HVAC design plans with confidence Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) and electrical systems is highly desirable Experience with equipment troubleshooting across various mechanical systems including boilers, appliances, pumps, and fans Familiarity with plumbing tasks related to HVAC installations or repairs Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications such as HVAC/R licenses are preferred Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, multimeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment Ability to work independently in the field as a van driver or mobile technician while maintaining safety standards Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving Join us in delivering top-tier HVAC solutions that keep buildings comfortable and efficient!
