Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior HVAC Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. Your expertise will ensure our clients' environments operate efficiently and reliably, delivering comfort and safety across diverse property types. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on HVAC systems, including refrigeration units, boilers, air conditioning units, and building automation systems. Install new HVAC equipment and mechanical systems in accordance with schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design specifications. Troubleshoot electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and conduct electrical diagnostics to identify faults accurately. Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to optimize performance and extend system lifespan. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and control diagrams to facilitate precise repairs and installations. Collaborate with property maintenance teams to ensure HVAC systems meet safety standards and regulatory compliance (EPA certification required). Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and ensuring client satisfaction with all work performed. Skills Extensive construction experience combined with service technician expertise in HVAC systems repair and maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge covering mechanical systems repair, HVAC system installation, plumbing, and building automation systems. Proficiency in troubleshooting refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and electrical diagnostics using specialized tools like ohmmeters. Ability to read schematics accurately and apply HVAC design principles during installation or repair projects. Skilled in the use of hand tools and mechanical systems repair techniques for diverse equipment types. Knowledge of HVAC/R standards, boiler operation, property maintenance practices, and air conditioning systems. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; familiarity with driver requirements preferred.
