Full-Time About Us Burkhardt Heating Cooling Plumbing and Electric is a trusted, family owned home services company serving the Milwuakee, WI area. We take pride in delivering honest, high-quality HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work to our community, and we're looking for a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused HVAC Service Technician to maintain, diagnose, and repair residential and some light commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on HVAC experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to providing excellent service to every customer. Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on residential and/or commercial systems Install new HVAC equipment and components according to manufacturer specifications and local codes Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant-related issues Communicate clearly with customers about diagnoses, repair options, and pricing Maintain accurate service records, invoices, and work orders Keep service vehicle, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and well-maintained Follow all safety protocols and industry regulations (EPA, OSHA, local codes) Participate in on-call/emergency service rotation as needed Qualifications 1+ years of experience as an HVAC technician preferred (experience level determines starting pay) Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical components, and refrigeration principles Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied environments (attics, crawl spaces, outdoors, extreme temperatures) High school diploma or GED; HVAC trade school certification a plus
Compensation & Benefits Pay:
$22-$33/hour, commensurate with experience Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401K and 401K matching

$22.00 - $33.00 per hour
